❓ What is PicoBoot?
PicoBoot is a small internal board installed inside your GameCube that allows it to launch custom firmware (Swiss) from a microSD card.
Once installed, it enables access to homebrew applications and legally owned content — all without relying on aging disc drives.
❓ Will my disc drive still work after installation?
Yes! PicoBoot does not disable or interfere with your disc drive. You can still use original GameCube game discs as usual. The upgrade simply adds an alternative launch method.
❓ Do I need to send anything besides the console?
Nope — just send your GameCube console (without cables, controllers, or power supply). We provide all necessary parts and hardware for the enhancements you select.
❓ Can I choose the color of my shell or LED upgrades?
Absolutely! If your selected service includes a shell swap or LED mod, you’ll be able to choose from a list of available colors at checkout. We’ll install it exactly how you configure it.
❓ How long does the process take?
Turnaround time is typically 5–10 business days from the time we receive your console. Shipping time is additional, and may vary depending on location.
❓ Can I send in a console that already has a boot loader installed?
Yes! If you’ve already installed PicoBoot or another boot loader, you can still use our other services like internal HDMI mods, shell swaps, or LED upgrades. Just be sure to select the appropriate service at checkout.
❓ Will my console come back ready to use?
Yes. Every console is fully tested before return shipping. If your selected service includes a microSD card, we pre-install Swiss and configure it for plug-and-play use with your SD2SP2 adapter / SD Gecko.
❓ Do you install games?
No. We do not install, include, or provide any copyrighted content. Our services are focused strictly on enhancing hardware functionality and enabling access to homebrew features.
❓ Why do you include a legal use disclaimer?
We include a legal use disclaimer to ensure our services are used responsibly and in accordance with copyright law.
Our enhancements — like PicoBoot installations, HDMI mods, and cosmetic upgrades — are designed to improve your console’s functionality and longevity. That includes enabling homebrew features and using legally owned content.
We do not provide or install any copyrighted software. What you do with your console after the upgrade is your responsibility, but we do not support or condone unauthorized use.
